Apoyo Crater Lake (Apoyo Lagoon) is an extinct volcano that erupted thousands of years ago, causing the volcano's warm waters to rise from the depths Here, you'll have time to relax, swim in its warm, brackish waters, or enjoy kayaking. Masaya Volcano is one of the most active and easily access volcanoes in Nicaragua. We include the night tour After entering through the main gate, we'll see the lava flow from the last big eruption in 1772. Then we'll head to the national park museum where you'll learn more about the history of this active volcano. As darkness falls, we'll drive to the top of the volcano to the active Santiago crater to appreciate the glow of the lava in to gases emanating from this active volcano.
