Palccoyo Rainbow Mountain
We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at 5:30 a.m. The trip to Palccoyo takes approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes to our first stop in Combapata for breakfast. Upon reaching the Palccoyo Pass, we will hike uphill for approximately 50 minutes. Here, you will participate in a coca leaf ritual, meant to connect with Mother Earth and engage in dialogue. You will experience spectacular panoramic views of the three peaks of Palccoyo's Rainbow Mountain, as well as the highest mountain in the Cusco region (Ausangate). We will spend approximately one hour enjoying the breathtaking view. Then, we will return to our transportation to head to Checacupe, where we will visit its impressive colonial bridge (here we will spend 30 minutes exploring the area). Afterward, we will have time to enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by the locals. We will then take our private transportation back to Cusco (approximately a 3-hour drive). We will be back in Cusco around 5:00 p.m.
