If time permits with-in the day You can do a short Birding tour around Kithulgala
Possible noteworthy species are: Ceylon Green-pigeon, Green-Billied Coucal, Chestnut-backed Owlet, Ceylon Grey Hornbill, Black-Backed Dwarf Kingfisher, Yellow-Fronted Barbet, Crimson-Backed Flameback.
