As we approach the valley from the south, we stop at a strategic viewpoint between Lamego and Régua. Here, you will witness your first breathtaking vista of the Douro River winding through the mountains. Surrounded by majestic terraced vineyards, this vibrant town serves as our gateway to the heart of the valley. From here, we begin our descent into the most scenic landscapes of Northern Portugal.

This scenic route between Régua and Pinhão hugs the Douro River, offering front-row views of the famous "schist steps"—the man-made terraces that have defined this region for centuries. We take our time so you can soak in the world-class scenery.

Our journey culminates in the charming village of Pinhão, nestled deep within the Douro canyons. This is the authentic soul of the region.
