Old Church
The Old Church, locally dubbed as the 'Crooked John', dates from the 13th century and towers high above the square where our tour starts.
3
Markt
120m in length and 50m wide, the Markt is one of the largest Dutch city squares. With the grand Old Church and the Town Hall on each side, it is the throbbing heart of the city. On any day, the square is loaded with cafe terraces and tons of smalll activities. However, it really comes alive during national holidays, when locals gather to enjoy live music performances, market stalls and food trucks.
4
Gemeenlandshuis van Delfland
This unique landmark was originally built as a residential building, but is now used as the main office for the regional water authority. It was historically referred to as the 'House Of Bells', due to its bell-shaped flowers that grew around the porch.
