Originally part of the ancient city of Balasagun, the tower served as a minaret and a watchtower. During your visit: • You’ll learn about the history of the Karakhanid Empire and the Silk Road. • You can climb to the top of the tower via a narrow spiral staircase for a panoramic view of the surrounding Chuy Valley. • Explore the open-air museum featuring ancient balbals (stone warrior statues) and petroglyphs. • Discover the small museum nearby, displaying artifacts found at the site. • Enjoy free time for photos and walking around the historical complex.

Lunch Stop Before Boom Gorge – Traditional Kattama Café Before entering the scenic Boom Gorge, we’ll stop for a delicious lunch at a local place known for its fresh Kattama (a traditional layered Kyrgyz bread). It’s a cozy spot where you can enjoy authentic homemade food and tea in a relaxed setting. After lunch, we’ll continue through Boom Gorge and head toward the stunning Kok Moinok Canyon for exploration and photo opportunities among its striking red rock formations.

Kok Moinok Canyon Kok Moinok Canyon is a hidden gem located near Boom Gorge, known for its unique red rock formations and peaceful atmosphere. Unlike the more famous canyons, Kok Moinok is less crowded, offering a more off-the-beaten-path experience. During the visit: • You’ll take a short hike into the canyon to explore its narrow passages and colorful landscapes. • The canyon’s rocks, shaped by wind and time, create natural sculptures perfect for photography. • Enjoy the silence and beauty of nature, surrounded by dramatic cliffs and clear skies. Balykchy City – Lake Shore Walk Our final stop before returning to Bishkek is the quiet lakeside town of Balykchy, located at the western tip of Issyk-Kul. Here, you’ll have some free time to walk along the peaceful shore, take in the fresh air, and admire the stunning views of the lake surrounded by distant mountains. It’s the perfect moment to relax and reflect on your journey, enjoy the natural beauty one last time, and maybe take some memorable photos as the sun begins to lower over the water. After this refreshing break, we’ll head back to Bishkek, carrying beautiful memories from the Issyk-Kul region.
