Ancient City (Mueang Boran)
Today your private guide will pick you up from your hotel around 9 am to begin your visit to the Ancient City (approximately 50 minutes drive from Bangkok).
The Ancient City is a park, but some consider it to be the largest open-air museum in the world. Over a hundred representations of Thai architecture are on display here.
Once there, you'll follow your guide who will explain Thailand's history through reproductions of its most famous monuments, villages, and markets. The lands of Ancient Siam roughly correspond to the shape of the kingdom, with monuments placed in their correct geographical locations. Some buildings are life-size replicas of existing or past sites, while others are smaller in scale.
You'll return to your hotel around 1:30 pm.
