Morning: Depart from Mekele in a 4x4 convoy, heading into the Danakil Depression. Enjoy stunning views of Ethiopia’s remote landscapes along the way.
Afternoon: Arrive at the base of Erta Ale Volcano, one of the world’s most active lava lakes. After a short rest and dinner, prepare for an evening trek to the volcano’s summit (3-4 hours hike).
Evening: Experience the molten lava lake at night – a mesmerizing, once-in-a-lifetime sight! Camp overnight near the crater under the starry desert sky.

Early Morning: Descend from the volcano at sunrise and drive to Hamed Ela, a remote Afar village near the famous salt flats of the Danakil Depression.
Afternoon: Visit the endless salt flats and witness traditional salt mining by the Afar people, where camel caravans transport slabs of salt as they have for centuries.
Evening: Enjoy a stunning sunset over the salt plains, relax at a desert camp, and experience traditional Afar hospitality.

Early Morning: Visit Dallol, one of the most colorful and geologically unique places in the world, filled with vibrant yellow, green, and orange sulfur pools and fumaroles releasing steaming gases.
Mid-Morning: Explore the salt rock formations, bubbling acid springs, and the "Salt Mountain" before beginning the drive back to Mekele.
Afternoon: Arrive in Mekele, marking the end of your unforgettable adventure!
