Dakshinkali Temple
At 9:00 AM, your guide will pick you up from your hotel in or near Thamel and drive about 1 hour (24 km) to Dakshinkali Temple, a major Hindu shrine dedicated to Goddess Kali known for ritual sacrifices. Spend around 45 minutes observing local customs.
At 10:30 AM, take a short 10-minute drive to Pharping, a sacred Buddhist and Hindu site. Explore key spots including Asura Cave, Self-Arising Ganesh Shrine, Vajra Yogini, Sheshnarayan Temple, and the Guru Rinpoche statue for about 90 minutes.
At 12:30 PM, drive 20 minutes to Kirtipur. Enjoy a traditional Newari lunch with dishes like Samay Baji, Chatamari, and Raksi.
After lunch, take a 2-hour walk visiting Bagh Bhairab Temple, Uma Maheshwar, Chilancho Stupa, Adinath Lokeshwar Temple, and Shri Kirti Bihar. See locals in traditional dress and historic squares.
At 3:45 PM, drive back to Kathmandu via Tribhuvan University, arriving at your hotel by 4:30 PM to conclude the tour.
