Cuc Phuong National Park is considered one of Vietnam’s most important biodiversity hotspots, home to the Endangered Primate Rescue Centre; a non-profit site dedicated to rehabilitating animals rescued from Southeast Asia’s illegal wildlife trade. The centre, which was established in 1993 with support from the Frankfurt Zoological Society, also hosts researchers from international universities and conservation groups. Nearby Turtle Conservation Center is where 20 species of turtle and tortoise have been rescued and rehabilitated.
