Colosseum
The tour always begins at the Colosseum . Once inside, your guide will talk you through the history of this amazing place – the largest Roman amphitheatre ever built. You’ll hear fascinating tales of the bloody spectacles which were staged there, and why and how it was built.

Roman Forum
After touring the Colosseum, the tour will move to the nearby Arch of Constantine and the Forum; the main square and the centre of ancient Roman life. Here you’ll see the ruins of the Temple of Julius Caesar, built on the site of his cremation, the Arch of Titus, House of the Vestal Virgins, the Senate House, the Basilica of Maxentius and much more. The ruins are indicative of the Forum’s place as a melting pot of politics, religion and society.

Complesso del Vittoriano
Next, you’ll see one of the most distinctive monuments in the city Il Vittoriano. Built in 1885 in honour of King Victor Emmanuel II, tis enormous neoclassical building is referred to as “Wedding Cake” by the locals. Near to here is the Quirinal Palace, official residence of the current Italian President.
