We started this great experience very early: We leave Cusco at 4:00 AM or the Sacred Valley (Ollantaytambo or Urubamba) between 5:00 and 5:30 AM, crossing spectacular Andean landscapes until reaching the imposing Abra Málaga, at 4,300 m above sea level (14,100 ft). We make short stops to enjoy the views (we can see llamas and alpacas grazing freely) and enjoy a coffee or cup of chocolate at 4300 meters (optional). At the organic farm of Julia and José you will meet medicinal plants, taste seasonal fruits and harvest cobs.
