For over 50 years, NOC has been guiding guests on the Chattooga River. NOC's founder, Payson Kennedy was a stunt double in the movie Deliverance, filmed on the Chattooga River.

That Chattooga is a Wild and Scenic River, protected by the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act of 1974, which provides the southeast most wilderness rafting trip.

Itinerary

The Wild and Scenic Chattooga River is the southeast's classic rafting trip. Section III offers the perfect trip for families and groups of any skill level with it's fun Class II and III rapids and incredible beauty.

After a brief trip safety talk and video, you’ll get geared up and load onto our bus to shuttle to the river put in. Once in the raft, your experienced guide will walk you through the rafting lingo and what to expect. Then it’s down the river you go, paddling through bouncy waves, cool mountain water, and fun rapids, stopping halfway for a riverside lunch and walk to the falls.

The minimum age for this trip is 8 years old.

Cancellation policy

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
