Starting early in the morning, we head towards the heart of Lago Argentino, where we will embark on an exciting navigation to the bottom of the South Arm.
Upon disembarking, an unforgettable walk to the serene Frías Lake awaits us. After a gentle ascent, we will reach the natural viewpoint, from where we can marvel at the panoramic views of Lake Frías and its surroundings before descending towards its shore.
We will board the Fitzcarraldo boat to sail through the crystalline waters of a dazzling emerald tone, sailing 5 km to the other shore. From there, we will begin a 6 km trek through the Frías River valley, getting closer and closer to the imposing glaciers.

Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness

GLACIAR SUR AVENTURA is an excursion aimed at travelers who enjoy walking in remote and unexplored places. Truly those who have done this trekking feel they are the first to reach the places they visit.

Recommendations: - Clothing: Waterproof jacket, comfortable and warm clothing, long and waterproof pants, trekking boots, backpack (40 liters approx.), sunglasses, sunscreen, gloves, hat.

You arrive at the Hotel at approximately 7:00 p.m. You walk between round trip around 14 km in 6 hours. The entrance to the National Park is not paid. The passengers are always accompanied from Calafate by a bilingual trekking guide (English/Spanish, possibly Italian) in addition to the crew.

Perito Moreno Glacier
You walk back and forth around 14 kms in 6 hours. Entrance to the National Park is not paid. Passengers are always accompanied from Calafate by a bilingual trekking guide (English / Spanish, possibly Italian) in addition to the crew.

Lago Roca
It begins in Calafate at 08.00, 50 kms are traveled to the Roca Lake, we embark on a semi-rigid cabin with capacity for 17 people. After navigating for 45 minutes, we arrive at the southern head of the South Arm, where the first stage of the walk begins to arrive at Frías Lake

El Calafate
El Calafate, popularly called «Calafate», is a city located on the southern shore of Lake Argentino, in the Patagonia region, in the province of Santa Cruz, Argentina, about 80 km from the Perito Moreno glacier. It is the head of the department Lago Argentino.

Lago Argentino
Navigation to the bottom of the South Arm of Lake Argentino, further and further into the Andes Mountains. Upon disembarking, the walk to Frías Lake begins, which can only be accessed on foot.

Los Glaciares National Park
Board the Fitzcarraldo boat to navigate 5 km through crystalline waters of surprising emerald color. From the other shore begins a 6 km trek through the valley of the Río Frías. As one approaches the last moraine, the glaciers begin to look closer and closer. A pristine area of Los Glaciares National Park with a valley of changing environments that ends in an amphitheater, made up of the Grande, Cubo and Dickson glaciers. The glaciers shed their ice towards the Upper Frías Lagoon (Big and Cube) and the Dickson Arm (Dickson Glacier) but originally they were all part of one large glacier: the Frías.
