Mosque of Muhammad Ali
After finishing your visit to the Giza Plateau, the tour continues to the historic Salah El-Din Citadel, a remarkable fortress overlooking Cairo. As you enter its ancient gates, your guide will walk you through the citadel’s rich past and the role it played in protecting the city for centuries. Inside, you’ll explore the iconic Mosque of Muhammad Ali, famous for its grand Ottoman design, elegant domes, and beautifully decorated interior. You’ll learn about the mosque’s history, its construction, and its cultural significance, all while enjoying panoramic views of Cairo from the high terraces. Depending on time and your interests, you may also discover additional sections within the citadel, including courtyards, museums, and historic towers — each offering unique insights into Cairo’s Islamic heritage and excellent photo opportunities.

Coptic Cairo
From the Citadel, the tour continues to Coptic Cairo, one of the oldest and most spiritual areas in the city. As you walk through its narrow historic pathways, your guide will introduce you to the deep Christian heritage of the district and the stories that shaped it. You’ll visit the famous Hanging Church, built above the old Roman gatehouse, where you can admire its beautiful wooden ceiling, ancient icons, and peaceful atmosphere. The tour may also include other significant sites in the area, such as the Cavern Church (where the Holy Family is believed to have stayed), the Church of St. Sergius and Bacchus, and the Ben Ezra Synagogue, depending on time and your personal interests. Each stop reveals another layer of Cairo’s rich religious history and offers quiet, charming corners perfect for photos and reflection.
