Haworth
Welcome to Haworth, at the heart of Brontë country.
Your visit today includes entrance to the Brontë Parsonage Museum, the former home of Charlotte, Emily, and Anne Brontë. It was inside this modest stone house that Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights, and The Tenant of Wildfell Hall were written. The Parsonage stands at the top of the village beside the church and on the edge of the open moorland, a setting that deeply influenced the sisters’ writing.
You now have two hours of free time to explore Haworth at your own pace. The village itself is full of character, with its steep cobbled Main Street lined with traditional stone buildings, independent shops, bookshops, and welcoming cafés. Much of Haworth has retained its historic charm, and as you walk through the streets you can still sense the atmosphere of the 19th century.
Take your time to enjoy the Parsonage and the village surroundings, and make the most of your visit to this unique and inspiring literary setting.
