Yipu Garden
Yipu Garden, a classical Chinese garden nestled in Suzhou, embodies the harmony of nature and human artistry. Designed during the Ming Dynasty, it features winding pathways, serene ponds, and intricate rockeries that mimic natural landscapes. Elegant pavilions, arched bridges, and latticed windows frame picturesque vistas, while lush bamboo, fragrant blossoms, and ancient trees enhance its tranquil ambiance. Celebrating the balance of yin and yang, its minimalist design invites contemplation, reflecting Confucian and Daoist philosophies. A UNESCO World Heritage site, Yipu Garden epitomizes the Suzhou garden tradition, offering a timeless retreat where architecture and nature coexist in poetic symmetry.

Shantang Street
Shantang Street, a historic canal-side thoroughfare in Suzhou, dates back to the Tang Dynasty (819 CE) when poet-governor Bai Juyi oversaw its construction. Stretching 3.8 kilometers along the Shantang River, it blends waterway charm with Ming-Qing architecture: whitewashed walls, stone bridges, and traditional shops selling silk, snacks, and crafts. Dubbed "Suzhou’s Old Street," it offers a lively mix of cultural heritage and local life, with teahouses, temples, and opera stages. A section near Tiger Hill is dubbed the "Seven-Li Miniature," capturing the city’s essence. Part of the Grand Canal UNESCO site, it remains a vibrant artery of history, commerce, and Jiangnan water-town ambiance.
