Discover Madeira in a relaxed and accessible way with our Trail Experience. The starting point is Poiso, at 1400 meters above sea level. A gentle ascent allows for a gradual introduction. Our guide assesses the skills of each rider before presenting two options: either explore easy single trails in the forest or follow the roads and gravel paths to the Levada, the traditional water channels. Regardless of skill level, each participant will find a suitable challenge. Together, we then glide leisurely at about 850 meters above sea level, covering approx. 25K along the Levada. The route takes us through picturesque laurel, eucalyptus, and pine forests, blackberries, raspberries, and blueberries...

Lokoloko - Mountain Bike & Outdoor Tours
Starting point

Poiso
After a small briefing with tips and tricks about the tour and the mountain bike, the tour starts at Poiso (Alt.1400m) with a small and easy uphill.

Levadas
Moments later and after the guide's suggestion based on the skills of the riders, we have the possibility to ride in some easy single trails or to continue on the road and dirt roads until we get to the 'levada' (water-channel). From here (Alt.850m) it is a 20km relaxed ride along the 'levada' where we will be surrounded by a beautiful mixture of laurel, eucalyptus and pine trees.

Camacha
Near the village Camacha we stop for a cold drink and a light lunch in a very typical bar. After the stop, we continue our 'levada' that crosses through the colorful village of Camacha, before we start our final ride with more or less 10km of smooth road, all the way down back to the Lokoloko shop, that only requires the effort of fingers on the brakes, but always with a big view over the ocean.
