Park and National Palace of Pena
Often compared to a “Disney Palace,” Pena Palace is the first Romantic-style palace in Europe, offering a journey through the five senses! It represents the dream of Ferdinand II, the Artist King and Romanticism pioneer. Enchanted by the Sintra Mountains’ microclimate and granite rocks, he purchased the monastery in 1838 and rebuilt it as a palace, showcasing Hispano-Islamic, Indo-Islamic, and Manueline styles.
Important : During the high season, this visit is ALWAYS very crowded! If you want to enjoy the Palace at your own pace, i strongly recommend the Garden and Terraces ticket (12€) witch also allows you to see the old Monastery.
If you want to visit the interior please buy your ticket to 4.4.30 or 5 PM.
Important : If your group would like to visit Quinta da Regaleira and the interior of Pena Palace, it will not be possible to visit all the listed locations. Please feel free to contact me so I can customize your tour accordingly.
