The Federal Palace is the seat of the Swiss Federal Assembly (the national legislature) and the Federal Council (the executive branch). It is the heart of Swiss democracy and plays a crucial role in the governance of Switzerland.

The Kindlifresserbrunnen dates back to the 16th century, specifically around 1545. The fountain features a central statue of an ogre or giant figure, depicted in a grotesque manner, devouring a child.

The Zytglogge dates back to the early 13th century, although its current form largely dates from the 15th century. It served various purposes throughout its history, including functioning as a guard tower, prison, and clock tower.

The Zähringerbrunnen was built in 1535 to commemorate the founder of Bern, Duke Berchtold V of Zähringen. It pays homage to the Zähringer dynasty, who established Bern as a city in 1191.

The Bern Minster is one of the finest examples of late Gothic architecture in Switzerland. Construction began in 1421 and continued for several centuries, with its completion in 1893.

The Bern Town Hall dates back to the 15th century, with parts of the building constructed between the 15th and 17th centuries. It has served as the seat of Bern’s municipal government for centuries.

The Gerechtigkeitsbrunnen was built in 1543–1544 during the Renaissance period. It commemorates the introduction of the new constitution of Bern in 1528.

The Nydeggbrücke dates back to 1844 when it was constructed as part of the city’s infrastructure expansion. It replaced an earlier wooden bridge that had stood at the same location since the 15th century.
