The Temple of Heaven is located on the east side of Yongdingmen Street in Dongcheng District, Beijing. It was a place where emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties offered sacrifices to heaven, prayed for good harvests and rain, and it is also the largest existing ancient sacrificial architectural complex in China. Its unique architectural styles, such as the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests and the Circular Mound Altar, are rich in cultural connotations and symbolic meanings. It also features a large number of ancient cypresses and a serene environment, allowing people to deeply appreciate the religious and philosophical thoughts of ancient times. so it is a complex of magnificent buildings and gardens.
