This calligraphy experience gives travelers a gentle introduction to Japanese calligraphy, from the tools and cultural background to hands-on practice and creating a finished work. We begin with a simple explanation of calligraphy materials and the role they play in Japanese culture, followed by a live demonstration by the instructor.
Next, guests practice basic brush movements and choose one kanji character to write. The instructor offers careful, step-by-step support throughout, so even complete beginners can join with confidence.
