The Jade Cavern, also known as "Chempita," is famous for being the only large cenote open to the public. Its natural decoration, with stalactites, gives it a magical and mystical atmosphere. What many don't know is that the cavern extends to a dark dome, adding a touch of mystery.
A curious fact that few are aware of is that this cave is home to the "most primitive crustacean in the world" (Remipedio Xibalbanus sp), which is why its environment must remain untouched. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the water; you can jump in and have a great time!
