New York City
About
Astoria is one of the most multicultural neighborhoods in New York City, and on this tour you’ll literally eat your way around the world in just a few blocks.
Instead of big restaurants or tourist spots, this experience focuses on small, local, and family-run businesses that locals actually love. Each stop represents a different culture that has shaped Astoria’s food scene. From Colombian bakeries and Georgian dumplings to Taiwanese street food, Greek markets, Indian snacks, and classic NYC Italian pastries.
This is a relaxed, small-group walking tour where we eat, explore, chat, and learn as we go. Expect a mix of sweet and savory bites with enough tastings to feel like a full lunch.

Itinerary
1
Queens Public Library at Broadway
Make sure to come hungry!
We’ll meet right in front of the Queens Library on Broadway. It’s easy to find, close to the R/M train via Steinway Station.
Feel free to use the bathroom here before the tour begins!
(Please note: The library is closed on Sundays, but we will still meet outside in the same spot.)
10 minutes
2
La Casa del Sabor Bakery Restaurant
As we introduce each other and get a run down of the tour, we will eat Pandebono straight from the local bakery.
It is warm, cheesy, and slightly chewy. The outside is lightly crispy while the inside melts in your mouth. It's a comforting bite that locals crave every day.
It is a warm, chewy Colombian cheese bread made from yucca flour and queso fresco. It’s naturally gluten-free and has a slightly crispy outside with a soft, cheesy center.
Although we will not visit the bakery
This is a beloved comfort snack in Colombian households!

3

Steaming, hand-twisted Georgian dumplings filled with savory beef, pork and rich broth. You’ll learn the traditional way to eat one without spilling a drop. Juicy and flavorful, these dumplings are a local favorite among Astoria’s Georgian community and a must-try for first-time visitors.

Parisi Bakery
We finish on a sweet note with a classic Italian cannoli: a crisp pastry shell filled with creamy, lightly sweetened ricotta and dusted with powdered sugar. Freshly made and delightfully indulgent, it’s the perfect finale to a multicultural culinary adventure.
