Arusha National Park
Arusha National Park, just a short drive from Arusha, is a hidden gem with diverse landscapes, from lush montane forests to savannahs and Momella Lakes. Dominated by Mount Meru, the park offers breathtaking views and wildlife. On a day trip, explore different ecosystems and spot giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, warthogs, and antelope. The park is home to primates like blue monkeys, vervet monkeys, and black-and-white colobus monkeys. Over 400 bird species, including flamingos and African fish eagles, live in the park. The trip begins with a scenic 1.5-2 hour drive from Moshi, offering views of rural landscapes and Mount Meru. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided game drive, visiting Ngurdoto Crater, known as "Little Ngorongoro," and Momella Lakes. Walk in the tropical forest to get close to animals. The highlight is trekking to Mount Meru’s crater, Tanzania’s second-highest peak. Afterward, return to Arusha, reflecting on an unforgettable adventure.
