Itinerary
1
Belvedere Museum
You will visit Belvedere Gallery, where a large part of Klimt's paintings is stored. The most famous one is undoubtedly The Kiss. We will explore what makes this work so special—the Secret of the Masterpiece. There are also many landscapes to discover, and together with an art historian guide, we will unravel the mystery behind Klimt’s square technique. We’ll see Judith as well, and after restoration, you can now admire The Bride. Who inspired the artist? Who were his patrons?
1 hour and 30 minutes
2
Secession Building (Secessionsgebaude)
The Secession Gallery itself is an object of art, surrounding the viewer with an image of a knight seeking happiness. Perhaps it is precisely this work by Klimt that will astonish you.
30 minutes
3
Wien Museum
Sometimes when you enter a museum, you don't expect to find works by such a significant artist as Gustav Klimt, but they are there. In this museum, we will see the portrait of Emilie Flöge—a woman whom Klimt loved spending time with and whose company he valued.
Shall we talk about love in the life of the artist?
