Monumento y Museo de la Revolucion
An introduction to Mexican Art Déco, its formal characteristics and its nuances with the Mexican Revolution War, the influences from other countries, but also how this movement talks a lot about the indigenous past of Mexico since it developed during the creation of a national identity. We are going to explore the outside of the monument and discuss other Art Déco buildings in the area.
We do not enter this museum because there are no Art Déco elements on display. Later, we are going to visit the inside of the Palacio de Bellas Artes and the Bank of Mexico Museum.
