Our local guide will give you tons of great information, including the history of the city and its architecture, the geography, culture, and religion of historical and modern day Guatemala.
During the tour we will visit and discuss Antigua's significant landmarks. We will talk about the volcanoes and earthquakes Guatemala has experienced, the Mayan ethnic groups, the Spanish invasion, and modern day life here.

This Due South Travels tour will walk a leisurely route from Iglesia de la Merced, down 5a Avenida, through Central Park. Then we will visit the cathedral ruins and head past Tanque Union Park, and end at Iglesia de San Francisco.

Baroque architecture. Starting point at the front of the church. If you'd like to enter, please wear conservative clothing that covers to your elbows and knees, and remove any hats before entering. (You cannot enter during a mass service)

Learn about this park, the medical clinic, the pila, and the ruins of Santa Clara.

Iglesia de San Francisco El Grande
We will end here with a visit to the church and tomb of San Pedro. If you'd like to enter the church, please wear conservative clothing, covered to your elbows and knees, and remove hats. You cannot enter while mass is taking place.
