The Laxminarayan Temple (also known as Birla Temple) is a Hindu temple dedicated to Laxminarayan. Laxminarayan usually refers to Vishnu, Preserver in the Trimurti, also known as Narayan, when he is with his consort Lakshmi. The temple was constructed by an industrial Raja Baldev Birla & was inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi in 1939. With a condition that the temple would not be restricted to the Hindus, but people from every caste, creed & country would be allowed inside.

Gurudwara Bangla Sahib is a Sikh Temple located in the heart of the Capital City. It is one of the most important & Sacred Sikh shrines visited by thousands of followers and tourists from all over the World. The food is prepared by gursikhs who work there and also by volunteers who like to help out. At the Gurdwara, visitors are requested to cover their heads and not to wear shoes. Anyone can volunteer in the Gurudwara.
