Billie Holiday Statue
See the controversial statue of Lady Day that almost didn't happen. Created in 1977 by artist James Earl Reid, the plinth was so controversial the Baltimore City Council refused to allow it, even after they voted to approve it.
See for yourself the relentless power, beauty, and demand for justice that was and still is Billie Holiday.
