Discover the scenery and history of the ‘Viking saga islands’ of Giske and Godøy. From Ålesund, we’ll travel across the Giske bridge to the saga island of Giske, the birthplace of the Viking chieftain, Rollo. During a photo stop at Giske we will enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Travelling through a tunnel will bring us to the island of Godøy and the picturesque fishing village of Alnes. There will be a stop at Alnes Lighthouse for a visit . We return to Ålesund and ascend the local mountain Aksla. The bus will take us as far as the stadium, where we’ll continue our journey on foot. A scenic 900-meter walk on a gentle path with no gradient will lead us to the viewpoint, offering spectacula...

A beautiful spot at the edge of beautiful Godøy – the island of the gods. We make a visit inside and you can make wonderful pictures.

Aksla Mountain
We will make a photo stop at viewpoint Mount Aksla with a wonderful view over the City and Sunnmøre alps in clear weather.
Please note: A walk of about 900m to the viewpoint is required, followed by a walk (418 steps down from the viewpoint) back to the harbor.
The bus stops at the stadium on Aksla and takes anyone who does not want to walk (without stopping at the viewpoint) back to the harbor.
