Are you ready to turn your hobbies into a business?
This walking tour for vegetarian foodies takes you to the most authentic eateries that invented or mastered the dishes over 150 years ago. To enjoy this walk, it is recommended that you have a light breakfast, as the tour offers an opportunity to savor a lot of local vegetarian delicacies.
You will be picked up from your hotel and escorted in your air-conditioned vehicle at 12:30 P.M. to Gautam Budh Marg. Upon arrival meet your local guide and start your walking tour. Vegetarian cuisine in Lucknow is as rich as the city’s non-vegetarian fare and held equally in high regard for its recipes and age-old traditions. Halwais (traditional Indian cooks) in Lucknow have plenty of loyal customers, who have been patronizing them for generations.
On this two-hour walking tour we take you to the traditional Lucknow eateries. The oldest of these dates back to 1825. You will also visit some traditional shops that specialize in sun-dried lentil-nuggets and accompaniments such as papadums, pickles, preserves and chutneys. You get to taste not only the tangy chaat and the coolest kulfi on this tour but also end it with a paan (betel-leaf preparation), which is a traditional digestive eaten by the locals.
Once your tour finishes, you will be driven back to your hotel.
