Sacsayhuaman
Afterward, you’ll travel by tourist transport to the archaeological sites surrounding the city. The first stop is Sacsayhuamán, known for its massive, precisely fitted stone walls and panoramic views of Cusco. You’ll then continue to Qenqo, a ceremonial center dedicated to Pachamama featuring carved rock altars and labyrinth-like passages. The tour proceeds to Puca Pucara, an Inca military and administrative complex used as a control point for travelers, and finally to Tambomachay, a site associated with water rituals and purification ceremonies.
At the end of the visit, you’ll return to Cusco between 6:00 and 6:30 p.m. The transport will drop you off near the historic center, where you can enjoy dinner or attend a local cultural show to end your first day in the ancient Inca capital.
