Kibale National Park
After an early breakfast, you will begin your gorilla and savannah safari as you are transferred west through tea plantations and rolling hills to reach Fort Portal town, where you will have an en-route lunch before proceeding to Kibale National Park.
After checking into the hotel, you will embark on a guided nature walk through the dense papyrus at Magombe Swamp, which is part of Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary situated on the edge of Kibale Forest National Park. On your nature walk, you have the chance to spot up to 138 bird species, including the Great Blue Turaco, a variety of butterflies, and perhaps the real draw card of this swamp: its seven species of monkeys, including red colobus, grey-cheeked Mangabey, L’Hoest, varved, black and white colobus, blue monkey, and baboons.
