The Museum of Art and History of Provence is a municipal museum in Grasse, labeled "Musée de France." It presents collections on the history of eastern Provence from prehistory to the 20th century (fine arts, ethnography, decorative arts). The museum is housed in a residence built between 1772 and 1774 by Jean-Paul de Clapiers, Marquis de Cabris, who married Louise Riquetti (1752-1807), sister of the revolutionary Mirabeau, in 1769.
