It is the easternmost point of the Korean Peninsula and is also famous as a place to welcome the sun because it is known as the place where the sun rises first on the Korean Peninsula. The "Hand of Win-Win," a large hand sculpture in Homigot Sunrise Square, is said to have the meaning of "win-win and harmony" as the hands on the sea and the hands on the land face each other.
