Day 1:
Depart from the city of Johannesburg/Hotel/O.R Tambo Airport to Mpumalanga, the province where the sun rises at 6:00 A.M. Stop at the town of Dullstroom known for its crystal-clear dams, fishing, and outdoor activity, for refreshments and to stretch your legs before continuing on to the Blyde River Canyon, a 26 km canyon in Mpumalanga, South Africa. It is the 3rd-largest canyon on Earth, behind the Grand Canyon and the Fish River Canyon.
While at the Bylde River Canyon, explore God’s Window. Continue on to the Berlin Falls, the highest waterfall in Mpumalanga. Next, see Bourke’s Luck Potholes, a geological attraction formed by water erosion, with walkways and bridges that take one’s breath away.
Experience the Three Rondavels, 3 round mountain tops with slightly pointed tops, remarkably like the traditional round or oval African homesteads made with local materials called rondavels. After the Panorama Route, make your way to Protea Hotel Hazyview to spend the night.
