Tarangire National Park is most popular for its large elephant herds. This is why it is also called the elephants paradise with up to 300 elephants living in the park. The place is well-known for a mini-wildlife migration that takes place during the dry season (June-October). During this time, 250,000 animals enter the park to the Tarangire River, the main source of fresh water in Tarangire-Manyara ecosystem (Masai steppe).
You will get a chance to see all different kind of birds since the park has almost 500 species of birds.
