Our team, your tour guide and hiking team will pick you up early in the morning from your hotel. If you are in Cusco, we will pick you up between 4:25 and 4:35 am.
You will board our private transport that will take you to Ollantaytambo, here you have breakfast, then we continue driving to Piskacuchu (Km 82), the starting point and control point of the Inca Trail. Once you pass the checkpoint and the Urubamba River, we will begin our 4-day trek to Machu Picchu. The first 2 hours of the trail are relatively flat. In this beautiful valley, we will walk among agricultural fields of potatoes, corn, barley and others, always in the company of the Sacred River of Urubamba and the imposing Veronica Glacier.

We will go to Wilkarakay and admire the archaeological site of Llactapata that shows its stone constructions in the middle of three valleys. We will continue for another 20 minutes until we reach Tarayoc, our lunch spot. You will be surprised by the delicacies that our mountain chefs have prepared for you.
We have 3:30 hours of walking to reach our first camp located in Ayapata (3,300 m / 10,827 ft). In this last part, we will go through 2 small communities where you can make your purchases. We will arrive at the camp at approximately 5:30 p.m. Now just relax with a snack or hot drink. Dinner will be ready at 7:20 pm. After dinner I rested surrounded by a warm night under the stars for the next day.
