The State Archives of Milan, based in the Palazzo del Senato, via Senato n. 10, is the State institution responsible, by law, for the conservation of documents coming from the offices of state bodies, but also public ones and private producers.

The arches of Porta Nuova are one of the largest gates on the medieval layout of the walls of Milan.

The Sforzesco Castle is a large fortified complex located in Milan just outside the historic center of the city. The famous Via Monte Napoleone is lined with high fashion boutiques, antique shops and elegant cafes housed in neoclassical buildings.
