Temple of Aphaia
Learn about the history of the Temple of Aphaia! It is one of the most significant temples in Greece. People have visited Aphaia since at least the Late Bronze Age/14th Century BCE. The Parthenon in Athens is based on this temple built on a hill surrounded by pine trees with stunning views on either side of the island.

A quaint hillside village, that has been inhabited since neolithic times, has been officially classified as a “traditional settlement”. Pachia Rachi is a haven for artists! The village takes one back in time to an older way of life, when bread was baked in outdoor ovens.

The Ancient Olive Grove (Elaionas)
Visit this secluded valley scattered with centuries-old olive trees, some dating back 1,500 years, and remains of chapels.
Walk amongst these impressive ancient olive trees that stand like natural monuments! One tree has a base that covers a surface of 30 sq.m.!
