Ait Ben Haddou
The tour starts in the morning with departure from Marrakech, crossing the High Atlas Mountains through the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Along the way, there are photo stops overlooking traditional Berber villages and mountain landscapes. The journey continues to the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its historical architecture and as a filming location for many international movies. After visiting the kasbah, the route passes through Ouarzazate, often referred to as the “Hollywood of Africa,” where an optional visit to the Atlas Film Studios can be arranged. The drive then continues through Skoura Oasis and the Rose Valley before reaching the Dades Valley in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight are arranged in a hotel or traditional riad in Dades Gorge.
