The Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is inhabited by a population of about 459 individual mountain gorillas (Gorilla beringei beringei), known as the Bwindi population, which makes up almost half of all the mountain gorillas in the world. Uganda is the country in Africa which has many gorilla individuals compared to Rwanda and Congo. Mountain gorillas in Uganda are found in two national parks Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. The overall best time of the year to travel to Bwindi to locate mountain gorillas is during the dry season/months; June to September, December to February.

Arriving in Kigali/Rwanda, you will meet our driver guide who will transfer you to Uganda via Katuna border. On your way, you will be enjoying the beautiful landscape and understand the reason why Rwanda is called a country of thousand hills. You will enjoy your enroute lunch and on your arrival to Bwindi NP, you will check-in to your lodge before you go for Batwa cultural village and learn more about their life experience that includes their daily living activities, it's amazing! Later on you will go back to your lodge for Dinner and overnight at Rushaga Gorilla Havens Lodge.
