Dar es Salaam to Selous Game Reserve - Sunset Boat ride

Your adventure begins with a pick-up from your hotel or the airport in Dar es Salaam. Enjoy a scenic 5-hour drive south to Selous (Nyerere National Park), passing through charming rural villages and picturesque countryside, offering a glimpse into local life. Upon arrival, settle in and enjoy a leisurely lunch.
At around 16:00, embark on a sunset boat safari along the majestic Rufiji River, the lifeblood of Selous. This river sustains a rich array of wildlife, and during the safari, you can expect to see hippos wallowing in the water, crocodiles basking on the riverbanks, and a variety of bird species, including the striking African fish eagle and vibrant kingfishers. The boat safari also provides a perfect opportunity to witness the spectacular sundown over the river, casting a golden glow on the tranquil waters.
After the boat safari, return to the lodge for a delicious dinner and a restful overnight stay.
