Turmi
Upon arrival at Jinka Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional guide and driver. Begin your scenic drive to Turmi, the cultural heartland of the Hamer people. Along the way, stop for a memorable photo opportunity with the young Bena stick boys, known for their traditional attire and pastoral lifestyle.
Continue through the spectacular landscapes of the South Omo Valley, passing remote villages and enjoying beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.
Arrive in Turmi in the late afternoon and visit a traditional Hamer village. Meet members of one of Ethiopia's most iconic indigenous communities and learn about their unique customs, elaborate hairstyles, colorful beadwork, daily life, and centuries-old traditions.
