5 Stops
1
Atlas Mountains
After leaving Marrakech, we will drive across the Atlas Mountains. A Maghreb mountain range that separates the Sahara Desert from the Mediterranean and Atlantic coasts. It runs across Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia for around 2,500 kilometers (1,600 miles). With an elevation of 4,167 meters, Toubkal, located in central Morocco, is the highest peak in the range (13,671 ft). Berbers make up the majority of the population in the Atlas Mountains. In several Berber languages, the words for mountain are adrar and adras. These words are thought to be cognates of Atlas, the toponym. The mountains also shelter a variety of animals and plants, the most of which are located in Africa but some of which may also be found in Europe. We will have few stops to enjoy the views and a break for a cup of tea or coffe.

Ait Ben Haddou
We will have enough time to visit and walk around Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a classic pre-Saharan habitat is a set of clay houses enclosed by high walls. Within the defensive walls, which are fortified by corner towers, the dwellings pack together. Ait-Ben-Haddou, in the province of Ouarzazate, is a magnificent example of Moroccan architecture.
After visiting the Kasbah, you may stop for a rest and lunch before continuing our day.

Ouarzazate
On our way, we will stop in Ouarzazate city, known as the gate of the desert, and it's located in the Drâa-Tafilalet area in south-central Morocco. Ouarzazate is located at a height of 1,160 meters (3,810 feet) on a bare plateau south of the High Atlas Mountains, with a desert to the south. Morocco's main studios have invited several international firms to work in the Ouarzazate area, which is known for its filmmaking. Lawrence of Arabia (1962), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), The Living Daylights (1987), The Last Temptation of Christ (1988), The Mummy (1999), Gladiator (2000), Kingdom of Heaven (2005), Kundun (1997), Legionnaire (1998), Hanna (2011), The Hills Have Eyes (2006), and Salmon Fishing in the Yemen (2011), as well as parts of the TV series Game of Thrones, were all shot here.

El Kelaa M'gouna
Kelâat M'Gouna, also known as Tighremt NImgunen, is a Moroccan city in Tinghir Province, Drâa-Tafilalet. It has a population of 38,140 people, according to the 2019 census. Because of its lively atmosphere, this town serves as an economic and social hub for the region.

Boumalne Dades
Our final destination will be Dades, Millions of years ago, the region that is now the Dadès Gorges was at the bottom of the sea. Large amounts of silt were deposited over massive coral reefs, which eventually compacted into a variety of sedimentary rocks including sandstone and limestone. The Atlas Mountains and surrounding scenery were formed as a result of the movement of the earth's crust, which led the region to rise above the sea level.
