Take the time to enjoy amazing views, local communities, American Camelids and Peruvian homemade food. This tour consists of small groups from 2-5 people. As you will be in a small group we are very flexible throughout the tour. You can stop wherever you want to take pictures and you determine the speed during the hike.

Day 1 - From Arequipa into Deep Canyon

Colca Canyon
Your expert tour guide will pick you up from your hotel at 7:00-7:30 in the morning to take you to the Colca Canyon by means of private van. Along the way you might spot some American Camelids, such as vicuñas, alpacas and llamas and you will witness breathtaking landscapes as you drive, such as lakes, glaciers and magnificent volcanoes. We take you to Cabanaconde (3700 m), the largest town of the Colca Canyon and after an energetic lunch, we start hiking down to the canyon.

San Juan de Chuccho
After 3 to 4-hours of hiking a rocky path downhill, you'll make it to the village of San Juan de Chuccho, where a warm meal is waiting for you. You spend the night at a cozy local family house.
