Royal Palace
The Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, are two iconic landmarks worth visiting. The Royal Palace is a beautiful complex that is the official residence of the King of Cambodia. It showcases traditional Khmer architecture and houses several magnificent buildings, including the Throne Hall and the Silver Pagoda.
The Silver Pagoda, also known as Wat Preah Keo Morokat, is located within the grounds of the Royal Palace. It is named after its floor, which is covered with over 5,000 silver tiles. Inside the pagoda, you can find a stunning collection of Buddha statues, including the famous Emerald Buddha, as well as priceless treasures like gold and jeweled Buddha statues.
Visiting the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda is a great way to learn about Cambodia's rich history and culture. Don't forget to dress modestly and respectfully when visiting these sacred sites.

Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum
In 1975 Tuol Svay Prey High School was taken over by Pol Pot’s security forces and turned into a prison known as Security Prison 21 (S-21); it soon became the largest centre of detention and torture in the country. S-21 has been turned into the Tuol Sleng museum, which serves as a testament to the crimes of the Khmer Rouge.
Between 1975 and 1978, some 20,000 people held at S-21 were taken to the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek

Choeung Ek Genocidal Center
The Killing Fields of Cambodia refer to the mass graves and execution sites where the Khmer Rouge regime, led by Pol Pot, carried out systematic genocide during its rule from 1975 to 1979. One of the most infamous sites is the Choeung Ek Genocidal Center, located just outside Phnom Penh.
Visiting the Killing Fields is a somber and emotional experience, offering a stark reminder of the atrocities committed by the Khmer Rouge
