In the Landesmuseum we will see the oldest legible Jewish tombstone in Europe from 1049 and the Torah rolls in the museum's Judaica collection.
Near the Landesmuseum we will see the area of the former Jewish Ghetto.

Together with Speyer and Worms, Mainz was the centre of the Ashkenazi Judaism. We will see the impressive modern synagogue (from the inside if possible otherwise from the outside) next to the remains of the old synagogue.
