Early departure from Marrakech (about 6:00 am), by private car or minibus.
Fast crossing of the High Atlas through Tizi n’Tichka, with short stops for coffee or quick photos if desired.
Stop for lunch on the way (usually in Tinghir, Midelt or Rissani, depending on the advance).
Continue to Merzouga in the afternoon (total journey: 10-11 hours on the road with short breaks).
Arrive in Merzouga before sunset.
